Our medical staff is unique.

Over 200 primary care physicians and skilled specialists take care of patients' needs in our community every day. From the latest in interventional cardiology procedures, to modern advances in laparoscopic surgery, to expertise and access to the most up-to-date clinical trials for cancer patients, our medical staff provides stellar care, unheard of at most small community hospitals our size.

Our environment is unique.

At York Hospital, it isn't strange to see a cozy fireplace providing warmth and comfort in a gathering area, or to hear a bubbling waterfall in the emergency room to diminish the sound of conversation.  It isn't strange to see carpeted hallways, or murals painted on the walls.  Our environment is specific to what we know our patients want - a comfortable, healing atmosphere.  Work has begun to provide private rooms for all of our patients, and we are well into the process.  Our new rooms provide privacy, warmth, space for family and friends, the latest in amenities like flat screen TVs, fluffy bathrobes, free (actually available throughout York Hospital), newly designed bathrooms complete with walk-in showers, and - who could forget our delicious food, including our famous lobster rolls?

York Hospital offers quality care close to home.  Knowing that patients do not want to travel far for care, we have opened offsite community centers to make care more convenient for our patients.  Along with York Hospital, offsite centers are located in York, Wells, Berwick, South Berwick and Kittery.  Each center is unique and offers a different mix of services.  We welcome you to tour any of our facilities at your convenience and you can start by clicking any of the links above.
